The scripture is Matthew 6:33, one of my favorite's and the color is Sherwin Williams, Outrageous Green.

This dresser has been glazed & sealed.

I am always afraid to be outrageous with my color choice and usually stay safe. I'm happy we took a chance and stepped out of our comfort zone with this color. It's not for everybody, but we like it.

So are you a fan of outrageous green? I didn't think I was, but it grew on me.

FIREHOUSE DRESSER & VERTICAL TYPOGRAPHY

Our latest furniture project - a waterfall chest of drawers.

I applied a pretty thin coat of paint on the drawers because I liked the look of the wood grain coming through.

Here it is with the graphic all filled in.

I think the entire process of adding the graphic took me about 3 hours.

I waited a couple days then distressed, glazed and sealed it.

I struggled with whether or not to fill one of the holes from the old hardware and change it out completely. However, in the end I decided I liked the contrast of the brass, they reminded us of the the old brass couplings on a fire engine.

Pinterest has been a huge spring board for these signs being such an enormous boost for our little shop. 1961 US GOV'T CABINET MAKEOVER

This old cabinet was broken, missing glass & shelves when we got it. We worked our magic on it, you want to see?

We recreated the trim at the bottom, put on glass knobs, added tin where there was glass, stained the inside of the doors to match the interior which is stained wood with three red glazed shelves.

This piece has already sold but we would love to make one similar for you. We also paint furniture that you already own!

A Chair Makeover

We repainted an old desk for our oldest daughters room a little while back and have had a hard time finding the right chair. They were either too big or too small, this one was gonna fit just right.

But...it's UGLY! It was relatively cheap so we bought it.

For an old chair, it was in really good shape.

After scrubbing the frame down & pulling off all the gross material it's ready for the paint & sealer.

Here it is all finished up.

The chair fits perfectly & I love the curves of it, very feminine. Kinda crazy what a little paint will do, huh. Don't mind those TV wires all over the place...we're still in the middle of this room makeover. Ha!
